This collection contains reporter and author James Renner's research and writing about the unsolved abduction and murder of 10-year old Bay Village, Ohio, resident, Amy Mihaljevic in 1989. Renner published an article on the topic in magazine called, "The Coldest Case" (2005), followed by a book, (2006). The collection includes material dating from 1987 through 2010. Reporter and author James Renner was born in 1978 in Cleveland, Ohio. He received an English degree from Kent State University. While working as a staff writer for Cleveland Scene magazine, Renner began investigating the unsolved 1989 abduction and murder of Amy Mihaljevic. Although Mihaljevic's body was found in early 1990 an intensive hunt for her kidnapper and killer was unsuccessful.
